We pack a lot of experience into a small space. How can you benefit from it?

Brand Creative where we invent, reinterpret and power up your brand. Brand Coordination, where we can handle the formal organization—and relevant refinement—of your existing brand for wider utilization. And, if you’re setting up an internal design team we offer In-House Consulting, where we can share our methods and experience in determining the right roles and the right structure, working closely so you have something to run with.

1 Brand Creative

Thinking big and thinking well beyond this week, this month and this quarter, we work collaboratively with your leadership team in all manner of creative brand development.

  • You’re missing a key creative component to your business. You know why you’re great, different or disruptive, but are having a hard time connecting what is in your head with what your target audience understands to be true about you.

  • You know your business better than anyone, but your target customers may see your brand differently than you do, or not know your brand at all. Research measures brand equity and consumer sentiment, and we utilize the insights we uncover to help shape your brand moving forward.

  • A fundamental review of what you’re trying to accomplish, what you believe and what differentiates you from the competition. Deliverables include vision, mission, brand values, brand character, positioning statement, brand story and descriptor/tagline.

  • Whether for your company, a product, or to better organize your brand hierarchy, we can guide and construct a list of ownable, vetted names that meet the objectives of the project. Then we can determine the right URL and support getting your name trademarked. It’s harder than it looks, and our experience is a great asset for your business.

  • For a new product, service or venture, we formulate the mix of visual and verbal elements to make your brand unique. This includes brand positioning, brand idea, visual / verbal identity, audio signature, brand graphic assets and brand guide.

  • After a number of years, a refresh is in order to accomplish a number of things; adapt to new market realities, catch up with product/service innovation, reinspire staff or signal a change in company focus and intent. As vast or as narrow as you need, we’re here to guide and shape the outcome.

  • This represents an initial step in taking a new brand to market. As the agency that developed the brand, we’re perfectly placed to bring it to life in the most impactful way possible. Deliverables include brand launch planning, brand campaign, internal brand communications, collateral, swag, social media platform graphics/templates and more.

  • WIth our deep understanding of brand components and high-level brand goals, we can develop integrated advertising campaigns to build brand awareness and drive immediate growth. Deliverables include print, digital, video, out of home, direct mail, tradeshows, sponsorships, customer events and sales enablement.

2 Brand Coordination

Through the years we’ve worked with all types of businesses and managed all depth of brand projects. Even if we’re not the creative drivers of your brand (at least not yet) you can tap into this skill set and get all the benefits of our methods.

  • You’ve had a series of freelancers or small agencies helping do whatever needs to be done, quickly. But no one has ever gone back and gathered up and organized the thinking, or codified the visual / verbal approach that’s working. You’re spending more and more time, personally onboarding marketing partners, never really feeling like they’re all pulling in the same direction.

  • Here we have an open discussion on the ups and downs of your business; what is working, what is not, what are you doing to compete in a new or changed environment?

  • We can dig into what your audience knows, thinks and feels about you, companies/offerings like yours and take a deep look at your competitors. This can inform positioning, customer personas, key brand language, media placement, advertising spend and more.

  • Gather it all up, and let’s review. What is worth keeping, what’s not, and what has a spark of magnificence to it and what can be built upon? You may have more hidden power in your brand than you think, it just needs to be magnified and organized. We can help sort it out and give practical recommendations on how to implement change.

  • Starting from the top (logos, colors, fonts) and working methodically through your visual / verbal identity, we bring consistency, fill gaps and organize all the assets you’ve accumulated into a cohesive set for your team to use.

  • This is putting rules around how to use all the assets gathered, and ensuring that from team to team, partner to partner, your brand is consistent.

  • Every brand has unique needs, and has a unique ecosystem of users. We can build you a fully documented, easy to follow guide to achieving the brand look and feel, as well as how to write from the brand perspective. The guide is online, and sharable to whomever you choose to partner with as your advertising or marketing agency.

3 In-house Consulting

If you haven’t run an advertising or marketing agency in the past, setting this internal department up can be tricky. Creatives are a very different animal from what your company is currently made up of. We can advise on a number of subjects to organize and optimize your team, while also getting them squared away with the right brand tools to function effectively.

  • The marketing team is excited to have hands around to execute, the CFO is excited to save money…but the Marketing Director is scratching their head on how to do this without it blowing up in their face.

  • This is a review of the work currently managed by your external agencies, and a discussion on what you hope to achieve with in-house resources. We can offer up suggestions on the structure, experience level needed and help with job descriptions and co-interviewing.

  • As the team forms, we can help pave the way for clear departmental communications, generate team momentum and help everyone embrace your brand at a deep level, showing a way forward.

  • Regardless of your industry, the (in-house) agency steps to project management, distributing work, creating and producing marketing materials/campaigns is similar across the board. We can help you and the wider team understand the key roles and responsibilities, as well as timing and the proper cadence and tone of cross-departmental communications.

  • Depending on how your team is set up to work, a detailed set of templated collateral (brochures, flyers, social media posts) can be a great foundation to get the team instructive, working files, or simple serve as an efficiency-boosting fix for quick turn projects.

  • Many times the first steps to building an in-house team involve organizing “doers”, which makes financial sense. However, if they are left on their own, this entire initiative can go sideways. We can serve as a fractional Creative Director to keep them on task, review their work, supply creative input and coach on how to work as their own agency, all in an effort to begin honing the grooves for a fully-functional in-house creative team to follow.
